About the Podcast

The Lazy Linguists podcast (currently on hiatus) is a little experiment consisting of conversations between native speakers of different languages. Each speaker also understands the other’s native language so there is a normal conversation flow even if two different languages are being used. We’re only using German and English right now but future episodes will feature different languages. Does anyone want to volunteer for Spanish?

We’re wondering if mixing languages, as they are naturally spoken, will allow a person to acquire them more naturally. If you already have a base in a language, hearing it being spoken naturally while understanding half of the conversation in your own language for context should improve your listening comprehension.
