Make me do:

500,000 Push ups

I plan to do 500,000 push ups for $0.10 each in order to get out of debt. Moving to Europe and my school loans are still haunting me! My day job already has me pulling hours to get the start-up off the ground so there’s no brain left for IT side-jobs.

For every purchase I will post an uncut video of my pain...and there will be pain. My arms are qualified to type this but nowhere near setup to pop off 200 push ups (let alone a half-million). Everyone who was a part of those 200 gets a link and shoutout from the video.

Buy some push ups, get your video.

Slow Going

IT’s (not so) GOOOOOOD!No, I’m not dead from the first 100. But…I’m much closer to that side of the scale than I thought I’d be. After two days, I still can’t make the “touchdown” sign. Doing the lawn-sprinkler dance doesn’t feel good either and Jersey Shore fist-pumping is out of the question.

I have two orders of 100 to get to still! Thanks for those and very sorry it can’t happen sooner.

By the way, I’m learning a lot about proper hydration and the wonders of magnesium. Don’t take this as complaining…it’s just a really interesting feeling to have your range-of-motion limited by the equivalent of a small electric fence!

The First 100

# 1 - 100
Bought by: The Neighbor
Shoutout: His awesome weekend camping!
(apologies for the awful video…still figuring out iMovie)

This is quite embarassing. I don’t know what possessed me to think that I’d just quick knock-off 100 push ups for the video. Perhaps I’m hurting a bit now because my arms are this big:

Not Pythons, Not Pipes…The first 100 sucked. I actually had to start doing knee push ups at 80 because I couldn’t lift myself off the ground. Oh, and my final “full” push up attempt at #100 failed a couple times too.

This is what happens when you go from doing nothing to trying to cruise through 100 in one sitting.

500,000 Left

Too many dollar-signs weighing me down. The combination of school loans and moving expenses has my bank account under constant attack. I’m not broke, I’m just not gaining ground on all of that debt!

It sucks.

I am willing to take it head on over the next couple years by doing pushups for kind souls who are willing to drop a buck or two for the cause. Everything will be documented in all its embarassing spleandor. Consider it a receipt.

If things pick up, I’m going to be hurting!

Thanks for swinging by. Leave a comment if you’re going through this same thing or if you’d like to tell me “you’ll never do this.” I like that kind of stuff. :)
